Linger is an upscale bakery with a swanky coffee lounge located in the heart of historic downtown Lee's Summit. We offer freshly baked bread, gourmet cheesecakes, cookies, cakes, scones, cannolis, and various treats. Our lounge is available for private parties.
We specialize in custom carved 3-D cakes for any occasion. Do you need a unique birthday cake for your spouse? How about the perfect cake for your company's anniversary? Just give us a few details and we'll create a one-of-a-kind confection just for you.
We invite you to visit our lounge and enjoy a freshly baked treat from our pastry case with a mug of our exclusive coffee blend from The Roasterie, which is ground and french pressed when you order it. If a cup of tea is more your style, we have 8 varieties of the highest quality whole flower/leaf teas from Harney & Sons. We offer free flavor shots and Truvia sweetener.
Your laptop is welcome here, too - we have our own dedicated WiFi so you can surf and work quickly from one of our leather couches or oversized chairs. We'll change our flatscreen tv from the news to the big game, too, so you won't miss a score or spectacular play!
The art you will see in our lounge is from local artists and will change monthly. This is one way we give back to our community and say thank you for supporting our bakery.
One last note - our friendly staff is trained to give you the highest level of service. We do not expect or accept tips. If you feel like we've exceeded your expectations, please pay it forward by making a small donation to the Kansas City Community Co-op, a non-profit organization that helps provide Christmas gifts to working families in need. We have a donation jar in the lounge.
